Join us on Saturday September 22 from 6:22 pm until 4:23 a.m. on the 23rd
The all night free contemporary art extravaganza will happen for the first time in Ottawa on Saturday September 22! More than 160 artists of all disciplines including projections, performances and installations will be showcasing their works. Unusual public spaces will be transformed into temporary exhibitions and private and public galleries will remain open to present an array of work that has been curated around the theme of Life is Beautiful/ La vie est belle. A shuttle between the main zones (Hintonburg/West Wellington and the Byward Market) will be available too.
You will find all the details at NBO’s website (designed and developed by co-curator Megan Smith and Benjamin Juhani Halsall) at: http://www.nuitblancheottawa.ca/
Very soon, a detailed map will be available on the website and in printed form to grab from various locations around the city.
Since 2010 icscis/walkthearts, in charge of the executive management of Bravo (organizer of Nuit Blanche Ottawa 2012) has been actively involved in the development of this project. NBO 2012 is finally a reality thanks to our funders, participating artists, partners, sponsors and the very hard work of NBO’s team composed mainly by volunteers.
We invite all icscis/walkthearts friends to support this unique free contemporary art event organized by the community for the community! Please spread the word among your friends and family and help us to create a huge wave of buzz! On Saturday September 22, we hope to see you and thousands of people walking the streets of Ottawa until the wee hours of the morning!
